UPCOMING EVENTS​

• Sunday, August 30th, at 1:30 pm: Potluck social. Our first event is a potluck social at Veteran's Park in Cedar Falls (just past the recreation center on Waterloo road). You are invited to bring a dish to share!

• Sunday, September 20th, 2 pm: Theatre Organ crawl at the Paramount Theater in Cedar Rapids. Travel with us as we join the River Valley AGO chapter in a visit to the mighty Wurlitzer organ in Cedar Rapids. It would be great to organize a carpool for this event if possible. Please email me if you would be willing to drive, or if you would like to attend and would like to join a ride.

 

• America 250 organ concert. Sunday, November 1st, 4 pm at First Congregational Church of Waterloo 608 W 4th St, Waterloo

• Friday, October 30th, 6 pm: Christoph Bull, organist for the world's largest church organ at First Congregational Church in Los Angeles, will present a workshop/concert around his unique approach to music making on the huge organs of FCCLA. Jebe Hall, UNI - Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center 8201 Dakota St, Cedar Falls.

 

• Friday, November 6th, 6 pm: Marko Petričić, organ professor at Ball State University, will present a workshop about balancing the performing demands of a church musician, including how to practice pragmatically and efficiently. Jebe Hall, UNI - Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center 8201 Dakota St, Cedar Falls.

 

• Bach's Lunch, organ concert series at Wartburg College: Fridays at 12:30 (preceded by lunch and performer's presentation at noon). More info to come from Karen Black. September 8th; October 9th; November 6th; February 12th; March 5th; April 9th. The Wartburg College Chapel 100 Wartburg Boulevard, Waverly.
